WOOL BALE CORING MACHINES

SCARLETT’S WOOL BALE CORING MACHINES FOR THE WOOL INDUSTRY.
B J SCARLETT LTD MANUFACTURE A VARIETY OF THESE CORING SAMPLING MACHINES

SCARLETT HIGH DENSITY BALE WOOL CORING MACHINE:

  • For coring of high density bales of processed wool.

Scarlett’s have manufactured a number of coring machines for high density bales. These are normally configured to work with the clients baler ie various bale sizes and strapping patterns. These machines comply with all the applicable standards / regulations and are available as either a semi-automatic or fully automatic unit.

SCARLETT MODULAR WOOL SAMPLING MACHINE:

For procuring grab & cored samples from off the farm bales of greasy wool.

THIS IS A NEW MACHINE B J SCARLETT’S HAVE DEVELOPED FOR WOOL MERCHANTS WITH:

  • Bale Coring: Programmable from 2 to 8 cores
  • Bale Grab: Deep & shallow grab samples

The corer users a modular system and can be configured from the basic to an almost fully automatic coring and grab machine.

In its most basic configuration it can be just a grab machine with no coring or weighing facility. Or it can have the grab, coring function and weight bridge, it’s the clients choice. Functions can be added at a later date as required.

Scarlett’s Wool Sampling machines comply with the applicable standards / regulations for both these types of sampling as required.

The one ongoing manual operation is the retrieval of the grab sample, during this phase the machine is automatically disabled by the operator breaking a safety light curtain as they reach in to retrieve the sample.

On the base machine the hot knife penetration of the bale is a manual operation and is guided by the aperture in the pre clamp plate which is the first phase before the grab penetrates the bale.

Again during this operation the operator is protected by the breaking of the safety light curtain disabling the machine.

  • The machine is designed so that a fork lift fitted with the appropriate lifting devise can deposit and retrieve up to 3 bales at a time thus making it more efficient.
  • Scarlett’s have used a slat type conveyor for moving the bales utilising simple technology.
  • Machine comes with all the required safety features.
  • The machine utilise a single hydraulic power pac to drive the grab / coring and the conveyor drive systems.
  • Core samples, programmable for either 2,4,6 or 8 samples
  • Automatic WAD Dump from coring tube
  • Automatic Sample Ejection from coring tube into plastic sample bags
  • Takes 2 Grabs at 3 positions and 2 depths (more positions if required)
  • The weigh bridge and controller are certified for the trade.

NOTE: Compressed air supply not included minimum required is 25cfm or 700ltr/min
